London, 6th May 2016:
BullGuard Internet Security 2016 has scooped up six prestigious national awards for its market-leading protection.
The UK’s Which?, the Belgian Consumers Union, the Dutch Consumers Organisation, Sweden’s Råd & Rön, Taenk in Denmark and Stiftung Warentest from Germany all independently tested between 10 and 19 security products including some of the market’s leading brand names.
The awards are a testament to the protective power of BullGuard Internet Security 2016, but what should also be noted is the integrity, independence and high regard in which all six consumer organisations are held in their respective countries.
For instance, the UK’s Which? is the go-to source for impartial and insightful consumer information on a wide range of products and services. As such it is an enormously influential organisation valued for its independence and integrity.
The other five organisations: Belgian Consumers Union, Dutch Consumers Organisation, Råd & Rön, Taenk and Stiftung Warentest all have similar status.
The commendations from these six prestigious organisations, each of which carried out its tests independent of the others, is an unrivalled tribute to the powerful and comprehensive protection of BullGuard Internet Security 2016.
The tests by all six consumer organisations broadly assessed the same features, from antivirus protection to firewalls and ease-of-use. Each of these independent tests concluded that BullGuard Internet Security 2016 was simply the best.
The Belgian Consumers Union praised the efficiency of the BullGuard Internet Security 2016 firewall, its malware protection and ‘the practical and intuitive interface.’ The test compared 18 different security suites and chose BullGuard as the winner ranking it as ‘Best of the Test’
The Dutch Consumers Organisation went one further ranking it as both ‘Best Buy’ and ‘Best of the Test’. Unlike the other tests, it measured security software in these latter two categories. It said that following its extensive testing BullGuard Internet Security 2016 clearly stood out from the rest.
Stiftung Warentest concluded that BullGuard Internet 2016 represents the best protection, while in contrast freeware tools rarely provide adequate security. Specifically, it flagged up BullGuard’s antivirus protection and firewall, as well as parental controls, phishing and spam protection.
Råd & Rön tested the security software to see how well it protected against viruses and malware, its ability to identify newly created malware, and how well it flagged up suspicious websites used to carry out fraud. It ranked BullGuard Internet Security 2016 ‘best-in-test.’
The UK’s Which? praised the software for delivering a powerful protection suite described as “really strong.” It ran a gamut of tests using malicious files to judge the full capabilities of the antivirus engine. “Not one of our phishing addresses avoided its net” was the summary of BullGuard’s performance.
Taenk tested 19 software programs based on their ability to detect and stop malware, how robust and rigorous the firewalls are and how easy it is to use the software. The average rating for all tested programs was 58%, while BullGuard was well ahead with a 68% score.
Paul Lipman, CEO of BullGuard said: “To win six awards is fantastic news. They are a reflection of the work that goes into creating the best protection possible for our customers. Our development efforts never stand still; we are continually innovating to ensure we deliver the best products to keep our customers safe and we make them simple for anyone to use.”
