Does my BullGuard Spamfilter work with my Yahoo/Gmail email?

 

The BullGuard Spamfilter only works with email clients (applications such as Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird, Incredimail, a.o.). If you are using an Internet browser to access your emails, then the Spamfilter will not filter your emails.

 

What email clients is the Spamfilter compatible with?

 

The BullGuard Spamfilter is currently compatible with: Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Incredimail, Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail.

 

Why do I have a folder called "Spamfilter" in my Microsoft Outlook?

 

The Spamfilter folder is created exclusively for the purpose of increasing the speed at which emails are processed and thus downloaded into your email client. That folder needs to remain empty.

 

Why aren't emails marked as Spam deleted automatically?

 

The BullGuard Spamfilter will not delete emails automatically due to the risk of false positives. This means, that you are given the opportunity to restore a valid email if it is falsely detected by BullGuard as Spam.

 

Can I block emails by subject/contained words?

 

You can only block emails by email address or domain. You can do so from the Spamfilter section in BullGuard > Safe Contacts, in the Blocked Contacts /Blocked Domains tabs.
